29 Feb 2008 - What's going on this half term?

February 29th 2008

Dear all

Active Mark 2007

The eagle-eyed amongst you will have noticed that we are celebrating a further award at All Saints (Marsh) – this time for our exceptional commitment to physical education.  Well done to Mrs Allsop, who leads in PE, and all the teachers and children for making this possible!

World Book Day and World Maths Day

Next week is World Book Day and World Maths Day, and we’ll let you know early next week how we will be celebrating!  World Maths Day is on the Wednesday, and we’ll celebrate World Book Day on Thursday.

Eden Project

Bradley and Courtenay class will be visiting the Eden Project as part of their curriculum work next Friday – please make sure all medical forms have been returned to school as everyone is looking forward to going!

Student Teachers

We welcome Rebecca Hurley to our school in the summer term for her school experience in Forde Class.  Rebecca will be visiting the school on Friday (7th March) to get to know us all!

Family Assemblies

The spring term is traditionally the time when we invite parents and friends into school to watch the children lead an assembly on an area of the curriculum or something they are working on.  This year Bradley class are first up, on Wednesday March 5th, and then on Tuesday March 11th it will be the turn of Templar, followed by Courtenay on March 18th and finally Forde class on March 25th.  All family assemblies will be at , except for Courtenay which will be a morning assembly.  Look out for your invitations soon!

Easter

The Rainbow House Theatre is coming to perform the Easter story to us on Friday March 14th – this will be funded by the school.  They have visited us before a number of years ago, and are very good.  The Revd Russell Chamberlain and our curate, Graham, will be leading Holy Week and Easter assemblies in school this year as Easter falls mid term.

Parents’ Evenings

It’s that time of the term again!  Parents’ Evenings this term are on Wednesday March 26th and Thursday March 27th.  Invitations will be distributed nearer the time but please mark the dates in your diary now, as these meetings are very important.

Wishing you all a very happy weekend!
